THE USE OF INTERNS IN YOUR ORGANISATION AS AN IMPORTANT CONTRIBUTION TO INCREASING EMPLOYMENT IN THE COUNTRY AND CAPACITY BUILDING FOR TODAY’S YOUTH AS THE GENERATION OF TOMORROW
There are potential benefits of a managed supply of interns and/or volunteers to work with your organisation. Such interns would be university graduates holding degrees at the levels of Masters, Honours, and BAs/BSCs from various universities in South Africa and are willing to work in your organisation for reasonable periods of around 3-6months or slightly longer in some cases.
Such interns working for your organisation would gain considerable experiences while contributing their services to work for your organisation. In addition, by promoting or expanding the use of interns in your organization, you will be rendering a useful service by increasing the chances of future employment for young and qualified South Africans and others.
Our entity, Capacity and Development Services (CAPDEV), with our offices in Fourways, Johannesburg has considerable experience in sourcing and managing internships for over seven years. Should you be interested we will be willing to supply you with lists of interns’ candidates to select from.
Subject to your interest and our mutual understanding, we could also handle arrangements for interviewing as well as recruit them, provide a briefing/orientation and manage their contractual arrangements; and providing general back-stopping support and capacity enhancement during their assignments. We could also help in preparing Terms of Reference for intern assignments, based on guidance of respective sections or departments of your organization. This approach and related arrangements that can be made, help relieve interested organisations from the time-consuming tasks involved in processing and managing an internship programme.
Kindly let us have your feedback to this idea; we are available to discuss further details on this scheme. We look forward to discussing with you or any of your colleagues on this important matter.
